Last week was Mardi Gras, and after a delicious pile of cajun crawfish and shrimp I wanted a drink that embodied the spirit of New Orleans.

Enter the Hurricane.

Sadly I neglected to take a photo the first time I made this drink, so this one is missing the orange slice garnish.

You could make a Hurricane with rum and sweet and sour mix, but to do it right, you need orange juice and passionfruit juice. It can be a bit difficult to track down the latter but it's worth it!

1.5 oz dark rum

1.5 oz light rum

0.5 oz grenadine

0.5 oz lime juice

1.5 oz passionfruit juice

1 oz orange juice

Garnish with two cherries and an orange slice.
