The Georgia Julep

Inspired by a recent event I did which had peach-based signature cocktails, I came up with this simple and sweet but strong cocktail I called the Georgia Julep. Later searching turned up a much fancier version, but if you don't happen to have cognac and "real aged peach brandy" on hand, my version will do just fine.

2 oz Whiskey (rye is my go-to)

1 oz peach schnapps

1/2 oz Mint syrup (adjust for desired sweetness)


Pour over ice and stir, and top with soda water for a bit of a fizzy finish.


It's sweet and extremely drinkable. Switch the mint syrup for mint bitters to cut the sweetness.
